Note: 2025 voter data as of Jan. 3, 2025. No 2022 data for municipalities under the special geographic area. For 2019, voters in barangays under the special area were originally counted under Cotabato municipalities. See note at the bottom for more details.

Nationwide, Comelec data showed that there are more women voters than men. But breaking down by municipalities, the discrepancies between male and female voters can be obvious.

The Philippines has enjoyed a high voter turnout each election, although turnout has historically been lower during midterm elections than presidential elections. In 2022 presidential elections, for instance, 84.1% of nationwide registered voters turned out to polls, compared with just 75.9% in the 2019 midterm elections when the presidency and vice presidency were not at stake.
The map below is color coded according to the 2022 voter turnout, although additional voter information is available in the tooltip.

Raw data from the Commission on Elections in the Philippines was cleaned and processed. For 2022, select barangays in Cotabato voted separately from their mother municipalities. This was after the same barangays voted to be part of the newly-established Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in a plebiscite. Voters in these barangays, therefore, were not included in the 2022 tally of their municipalities, but were present in 2019.
The Data Dictionary strived to ensure the veracity and comparability of the data across both 2019 and 2022 national elections. Changes in the number of legislative districts in some provinces as well as their composition should have no bearing on the number of registered voters and voter turnout in the area.
On generational data, the Data Dictionary followed the generational segmentation provided by Pew Research Center. Voters aged 60 years old and above were not disaggregated.
